I know we all talk sometimes about selling widgets, and finally their day has come: widgets are big business online… but not in the way that you think.

There are widgets in Vista, widgets in MacOS, widgets in iGoogle and Yahoo… and even those Facebook “Apps” are pretty widgety.

And, more than anywhere else you might see them, widgets about in blogs.  More than a fifth of Internet users use widgets.  Impressive.

But how will etailers use them?  Amazon just launched their program, allowing bloggers to monetize their sites through branded widgets.  How will you use them?
